Description
The Lincoln, Alabama, plant conducts synchronous production of vehicles and engines and is the exclusive global producer of Honda Odyssey minivans, Pilot sport utility vehicles and Ridgeline pickup trucks. In a further demonstration of Honda’s manufacturing flexibility, the plant began production of Accord V6 Sedans in July 2009, enabling the Marysville Auto Plant in Ohio to became the sole source for production of 4-cylinder Accords (Sedan and Coupe) sold in North America. The plant was also the first automobile plant in North America to operate as a zero-waste-to-landfill facility, leading the way for reduced waste from vehicle production activities at all of Honda’s plants in North America. The plant started production with the Odyssey minivan in 2001, adding a second production line and assembly of Pilot SUVs in 2004. Production of Ridgeline trucks was added in February 2009, followed by the addition of Accord V6 Sedan production in July 2009.
One Company, One Plant, One Team

Our manufacturing facility in Lincoln, Alabama has the capacity to build more than 300,000 Odyssey minivans, Pilot sport utility vehicles, Ridgeline pick-up trucks and V-6 engines annually, making Honda Manufacturing of Alabama (HMA) Honda's largest light truck production source.

Our dedicated team of more than 4,000 associates is now solely responsible for global production of the popular Odyssey, Pilot and Ridgeline. With the addition of a new Honda Engineering facility, on-site consolidation center and steel blanking operation, HMA's investment in Alabama now totals more than $1.4 billion.

HMA shares Honda's global goal of providing high quality products at a reasonable price. We also share Honda's global leadership in environmental stewardship. In fact, our companywide commitment to the principle of "Reduce, Reuse and Recycle" has established HMA as a Zero Landfill Facility, meaning HMA's operations send nothing to a landfill. In addition, HMA has received Energy Star awards from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). These awards are based on advances in curbing energy use during the production of light trucks.

What began as a global company's dream in 1999 of establishing operations in Alabama has now become a successful reality. In the coming years, HMA will remain committed as a reliable and dedicated partner in strengthening relationships with the communities where our associates live and work.
