Augusta, GA - A heartbreaking loss for the GreenJackets (11-9), Thursday night, to the Hagerstown Suns (14-5), at Lake Olmstead Stadium. GreenJackets were the first to score. In the bottom of the first inning, Ryder Jones singled to left-center field. Brandon Bednar walked.

AUGUSTA, G.A. - The Hagerstown Suns (14-5) plated two runs in the top of the 13th inning Wednesday night to defeat the Augusta Greenjackets (11-9) by a final of 5-3 in the rubber game of a three-game series. The 13-inning affair was the second longest game the Suns have played this season.

Navy base shooting victim will be awarded medal

The Navy on Friday will posthumously award Petty Officer 2nd Class Mark Mayo the service's highest noncombat medal. Officials announced Wednesday that Mayo, who was killed last month in a shooting aboard the destroyer Mahan, will receive the Navy and Marine Corps Medal.
